Danger Mouse EP – Arjun Vagale
Arjun Vagale is arguably one of the most in-demand DJs in India. In 2004, Arjun partnered with two close friends to form what would rapidly and unexpectedly become India’s hottest live act – Jalebee Cartel. With its mind blowing tech sets the band generated the biggest buzz ever.
Arjun‘s combination of house music with a techno feel landed him a gig on Trapez ltd – a Cologne-based minimal techno record label. He has exclusively written for three strong grooves Trapez ltd, appealing to many DJs.
The Trapez ltd EP opens with “Danger Mouse”which has an old Chicago house, all dirty vibe suited up in modern trippy techno house – a well written track by Vagale.
The track “The Second Nutcase” behaves like a tropic environment. There are sounds coming from all sides – a kind of steadiness in all of them recreating a hypnotic irresistible groove! as well as having the courage to create cool long breaks … A great track to DJ.
The EP ends with “Indian Shot”, the deepest track of all three. With an ethno/percussion base, the track moves towards a peak which is shaped like an onion of a noise, all layered and heavy, that disappears as quick as it has come to be accompanied by a sweet 60ies flavoured small melody loop that brings great joy.
