Coke Studio At MTV Season 2 // Episode 4: Nadia by Nitin Sawhney

This is Nitin Sawhney at the ‘COKE STUDIO’ doing a live performance of ‘Nadia’ from his ‘Beyond Skin’ album . This track is a song about two lovers on opposite ends of the river and suppose to resemble someone calling across the river. Based on a thumri, this track is about how the river has become the enemy as it is keeping the lovers apart.

I have to admit though, I have heard better live versions of Nadia …
