Farruca – Vivek Anand & Fatima

A rooster crows, in tune with the gentle strumming of Vivek Anand’s guitar.  Stretching, with the eloquence and grace of a cat, Fatima limbers up for her performance.  Kovalam village has, most definitely, never seen anything quite like this before – a flamenco guitarist and dancer, transforming the world into their stage.  Little children watch on with wide eyed curiosity, while a woman washing her clothes is somehow less surprised by the spectacle, and more preoccupied with her immediate task at hand.  Here is Vivek Anand – a talented flamenco guitarist from Coimbatore – and Fatima – an inspiring and beautiful flamenco dancer from Spain – with Farruca.
