IndiEarth At The Park: Live and Loud!
It’s here, ladies and gents – IndiEarth’s first gig of 2016! IndiEarth At The Park – IndiEarth’s monthly gig series born to provide a stage for a vibrant live independent music scene in Chennai – gears up to hit The Park Chennai this Saturday March 5th with two stellar acts – live electronica act FUNC and experimental/post rock band Aswekeepsearching.
Formed in 2013, Aswekeepsearching comprises vocalist/guitarist Uddipan Sarmah, guitarist/keyboardist Shubham Gurung, bassist Bob Alex and drummer Gautam Deb. The act paints vivid sonic landscapes, bringing together starkly emotive musical textures with haunting vocals. They will take to the stage at Aqua at 9pm – stream their debut album Khwaab here to have a listen before the show.
Randolph Correia a.k.a. FUNC is the guitarist and producer for Pentagram and Shaa’ir & Func – two highly successful acts in the Indian independent space. His solo project dives into other dimensions of his sonic range, an experimental live electronica act that brings together dub and bass heavy textures with a variety of live elements. Want a listen? IndiEarth has been organizing these gig nights regularly in the city to provide more performance platforms for independent artists, while also adding diversity to Chennai’s live music landscape. Come out and show your support for the Arts – entry is free!
