IndiEarth Compilation – Now Available online!
IndiEarth presents the IndiEarth Out There Compilation – an audio compilation that brings together the eclectic musicians featured on IndiEarth Out There Season 1.
The 12 track album features a blend of various genres representing the sounds of indie artists; from flamenco to Hindustani classical; indie rock to experimental avant garde and Tamil folk.
The Compilation throws the spotlight on eminent Indian musicians and promising indie newcomers. Artists include classical Hindustani maestro Pandit Janardan Mitta; classical Carnatic violinist Karthick Iyer; up and coming indie rock sensations The Shakey Rays; the ever popular alternative rockers Skrat; experimental avant garde musings of Maarten Visser & Holger Jetter; unbridled, raw and exuberant Tamil Folk of Anthony Daasan (Anthony in Party) to name a few.
The series showcases offbeat, independent music from Tamil Nadu – made in the city of Chennai; also with selected artists from neighbouring towns such as Mahabalipuram and Pondicherry.
The IndiEarth Out There Series Concept
A video series shot out in the elements, which focuses on the acoustic nature of the music – with no PA system and minimum amplification. Each track is shot and recorded in one continuous take. The series has future plans to travel to various Indian metros, exploring the indie music scene of these different cities in Season 2. In order to apply for season 2 – register on www.IndiEarth.com and email us your IndiEarth page.
IndiEarth Out There Compilation is available online on iTunes and BandCamp
