IndiEarth Out There: Live In Bangalore!

Season 2 of the IndiEarth Out There video series this week features a quirky young band with an equally unusual name – Clown With A Frown (watch the video here). “We’re like the clown because we’re happy, we’re hyper, we like to make people happy”, the band told IndiEarth, “But it’s also with a frown because emotions are pretty much inevitable. We express different emotions through every one of our songs”.

Named after a Russian poem, the Bangalore based funk/pop rock act who call their sound “alternative brass rock” will be the second band to be featured as part of IndiEarth Out There‘s live gig series this Friday June 5th at BFlat Bar, Bangalore. The series launched last weekend with psychedelic blues act Parvaaz who played to a full house, showcasing a blend of their older material as well as fresh yet-to-be-released music. This week, it’s Clown With A Frown who will take to the stage also boasting a brand new line up with Keerthana Sudarshan and Hannah Elizabeth Mathews now on vocals, and Osi Gomango on bass. The original line up of the act includes Rahul Joshua Thomas on Trombone, Kavya Lakshminarayanan on Trumpet, Jonathan Reuben on Guitar, Pradyun Manoj on Keyboard, Pramod Pratap on Drums, and Samson Philip on Percussion.

The gig series was launched to provide more platforms for the independent artists featured on the IndiEarth Out There video series, enabling them to showcase their sounds to wider audiences. For more details visit the event page here.

Date: Friday June 5th
Time: 9pm onwards
Venue: The BFlat Bar, Bangalore
