NH7 – A Weekender to Remember
Two days. 6 stages. 60 musicians. Little (to no) sleep for most of those involved.
This was the essence of the two day long musical extravaganza, that was the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Bangalore – the last leg of the multi-city festival that happened this past weekend, on the 15th and 16th of December.
Day 1 – like the start of any big event – was filled with the excitement of pre festival jitters, and the energy of an excited audience, eager to catch their favourite bands live on stage.

The acts on the line up today, included the likes of British trio Fink – who were headlining the Dewarists stage; Indian all star rockers Pentagram, getting people pumped and jumping and at the Eristoff Wolves Den; and Delhi based rockers Parikrama setting the Bacardi Black Rock Arena stage on fire. The Jack and Jones Other Stage, was a platform for alternate forms of music and up and coming artists, with the likes of British folk trio The Staves.
Of course, audiences were as fanatic as the music was loud – each zone, an alternate universe of sonic expression, with frenzied fans running from stage to stage, chaos, and music, rampant in the atmosphere. The day closed on a high, in preparation for day two – the final day – of the epic weekend.
Day 2 started off with a bang, and a massive turnout. Over the six stages, artists included the organic electronica of the beatboxing Bauchklang, using nothing but their voices for their tracks; The Raghu Dixit Project on the Dewarists stage; Indian Ocean, playing to an ocean of screaming fans; Chennai based house trio BLaNK fusing electronica with live instruments at the Eristoff Wolves Den; fusion bands like Swarathma putting heart and soul, into their performances (with a surprise cameo appearance by Dualist Inquiry); and so much more, that there simply aren’t enough words in the English language to describe it all.
IndiEarth was proud to see a few of its own artists in the limelight, with Karthick Iyer performing alongside Susheela Raman, and The Shakey Rays tearing it up on The Bindass Fully Fantastic Stage.
All in all, the festival was more than just a festival – it was a massive experience!
