RJ Deepali – Fever 104 FM – Reviews IndiEarth Artists

I am a real life “Bharat Bhushan of Bheja Fry”, an avid music lover and have been associated with music for over a decade now – on radio as a show presenter, music head and content developer.  Currently rocking the air waves of Delhi’s No.1 radio station Fever 104 FM, my passion for music keeps me betrothed to a lot of live events, artists and musicians.

Being a music manager, brings me all ears to every kind of music happening around.  I listen to a lot of commercial, indie, classical, international, retro and regional music apart from contemporary.  To choose the best music for millions of people tuned into you is never an easy task.  You need be your listeners brain and choices, and that’s what makes my job exciting; to travel around and learn what people want to listen to.

As a music reviewer and active blogger, I believe in reviewing all genres of  music, from commercial to independent, from regional to live.  So on my blog you may find reviews from a ‘Nautanki Saala’ to a ‘Kadal’ to a ‘Vravi Guitar fusion’.

I strongly believe that music has no language or boundaries and has all the powers to bring you to a state of well-being.  Blown away by Indian Classical music, I am currently being trained under Pandit Sanjeeb Sircar and plan to play Sitar to enthral an audience some day.

Here’s what I find refreshing on IndiEarth:

khambir 5.stars
Kesariya – Kambhir Khan
Poongi and Dholak, here lies the real music of India, nothing beats the roots. The very tune takes me to the sand dunes of Rajashtan, Loved it! 5/5
pandit 4.5stars
Soulful Strings – Pandit Janardan Mitta
How rightly called the “Soulful Strings”. I could visualize Pandit Ji holding the sitar like a small baby and playing it with such emotions, that anyone could grasp while listening to this one.
jimankan 4.stars
Shabd – Jim Ankan
Ritwika and Jim truly compliment each other in this track. Her voice is really mesmerizing and this track has it all to make it big!
moon 4.stars
Blue Fuse – Moon Arra
Jazz at its very best!  How I wonder to see this track being performed right in front of me. That’s what I call easy music listening experience.
saffron 4.stars
O Re Manhi – Saffron N Joe
Who could dare to touch and revamp a Dada Burman song so well! Classical yet so contemporary  and Oh what rendition of it.

sapta 4.stars
The Sound Of This Nation – Sapta
Electronica , madness, experimental, fusion!! Huh. There is so much this track has to offer. A win-win for all.
AJ 3.5starscopy
AJ – Dhuan
Heavy blues, fun lyrics and AJ’s absolute apt voice will keep you stuck on this one.
Konarak 3.5starscopy
Mango Ripple –  Konark Reddy
The solo guitar is the hero of this track, and how well it’s being played, Minimal instrumentation and maximum impact. Loved it.
greyshack 3.5starscopy
Step outside – Grey Shack
Rohan Sen’s voice is so fresh, and the whole music arrangement; the guitar, percussion is foot tapping.
pooja 2.5stars copy
Sajna – Pooja
Pooja is the composer, lyricist and singer. There could have been more expressions and vocals to it, but she is definitely promising and bright.
